Microsoft Teams
This article describes setting up and managing your integration with Microsoft Teams. The FireHydrant MS Teams bot can help streamline notifications to your teams during your incidents.
Configuration
- Go to FireHydrant's integrations page and click Microsoft Teams
- Click "Authorize Application," and you'll be taken to your Microsoft login to authenticate. Follow the on-screen prompts.
- After connecting the applications, switch to Microsoft Teams and enter the workspace/team you'd like to install the bot in. Click the ellipses > Manage Team > Apps > + Get More Apps. Search for "FireHydrant" and click "Add to a team" then "Set up bot."
- Once the app is installed, it will post a confirmation message into the main channel of the team you installed in (usually General).
- Now, you'll want to fetch an API from your FireHydrant account. You can get this at Settings > API Keys. Learn more by visiting API Keys.
- Switch back to MS Teams and type
@FireHydrant authorize
, and paste in the API key you created. - Now, you should be fully connected. You can verify this by running
@FireHydrant new
, and you should be shown a prompt to specify an incident title.
Note:
By default, FireHydrant will post only to channels in the Team/Workspace you installed the bot to. Currently, the FireHydrant MS Teams Bot can only post to a single Team/Workspace at a time. To change which Team it posts to, use the
@FireHydrant set workspace
command. See the full list of Microsoft Teams Commands.
To remove your Teams integration
